Did I Mention I Love Comments?

Well, I do! I love getting feedback. Even if you have nothing to say, let me know you stopped by. Don't be shy. I want to know who's stopping by and checking in on us. It's nice to know someone is reading what I'm writing. Thanks!

It's been awhile, so here's the update...

I realize I've been away from the blogging business for some time now...3 months at least. So I had some time today, since Brynne and I are both down and out with the flu...:( But it did give me a chance to catch up on the blog while Zerrin plays at a friend's house and Brynne sleeps. So, here is what is new with us...
Todd is doing a very difficult rotation down at Children's Hospital in San Diego, and we never see him. Thankfully, this rotation will end next weekend...and we're counting down the days! I just returned from a 10 day trip to Utah visiting family with the babies. Zerrin and Brynne continue to keep me on my toes getting into everything, competing for my attention and doing their best to annoy each other. It is a lot of fun to see them play together when they are happy and enjoying each other's company...that's when I really love my job as mommy. But recently, I could have thrown in the towel. Here is an example of what my days are like. This all happened yesterday. I took the kids to the grocery store. Brynne cried to get out of the shopping cart for about 1/2 an hour. By the time we got to the check out, I had received many glares and frustrated sighs from perfect strangers. And then, to top it all off, an older gentleman in line in front of me very noticibly put his hands over his ears and looked back at me in disgust. Then we finally made it home, with Brynne crying the whole way, I might add. And then I had to go to my weight loss center to check in. While there, I noticed Zerrin had a stinky diaper. But I had left the diaper bag in the car, knowing I wouldn't be long. But it took to long, because Zerrin wandered off to the bathroom, took off his poopy diaper (face down on the floor) and came back to me with a naked, poop covered bottom. After I cleaned up that mess, Zerrin walked out of the store with his bare bottom, and his pants around his knees.
That wasn't my best day. But today, life is pretty calm, other than being sick with the flu, it's really quiet today. And at least I had a chance to catch you up to date on the kids. All in all, life is going okay, and we're hanging in there. Only 1 1/2 years of residency left to go.
