I just have to write down a few of the funny things that have happened this last week. Some of them seem to happen a lot lately.
By now you understand that Brynne has some very special qualities. One of which is extreme attatchment...very quickly. When she finds something she loves, she clings to it for days and days (in the case of her mommy, it was years...) Anyway, she used to always want me to hold her along with all of her "goods" but it became so cumbersome, I had to tell her I wouldn't hold all of it. Well, yesterday, when we were outside playing in the yard, she had her hands full of favorite things and looked at me and said, "Will you please hold some of this! I can't carry all of this crap." Yep. My nearly 3 year old said the word "crap". It was all I could do to hold in my laughter. She is repeating me verbatim. I would get so frustrated with all of her junk I would tell her, "I can't hold all of this crap!" Good one, mom. Unfortunately, I have taught her something worse. Which is why I only laugh at "crap". I'm working on not saying the other word...but she says that too. I had to come up with a replacement phrase for her to use. So yesterday when we were going to the park and all of her "precious cargo" spilled out of her hands, and she exclaimed "Oh, S**t!" I looked at her sternly and said, "What do you say?" And she thought for a moment and said, "Darn it. I said darn it!" That's better. I wonder what the nursery leaders and Zerrin's sunbeam teacher think of the explitives my children use?
Another funny one also involves Brynne. She is a little snuggler. She loves snuggling especially if I'm still in bed in the morning when she wakes up. She'll come and get in bed with me and talk to me and tickle my face or arms. The other day she was tickling my neck and worked her way down to my chest and said, "I like your boobs. They're big. I have small boobs and you have big boobs." Kids say the craziest things. At least that one wasn't in public. :)
And then there's Bubba. He has a memory like you wouldn't believe. Everytime he sees something weird, funny or remarkable in anyway, he says, "What the?" sometimes he adds "heck" on the end of that, but mostly just "What the...?" And you can give credit for that one to his daddy.

much for Thanks so much for the blogs, i love them all so much. Brings me home from here, if just for a few minutes. i'll be home soon.
that is so funny! Alison and I had the boob conversation one day too. I was getting her out of her car seat and they were right at eye-level. This was when I was still nursing Andrew. She said pretty much the same thing. And then said, you have big ones so Andrew can eat!
perceptive.
To funny. Sounds like your kids. Not sure exactly what to say. I can see your kids saying it to a degree. They are very open and catch onto things so well.
