A Miraculous Sunday Nap
So here it was, Sunday afternoon. Brynne fell asleep in the car on the way home from church as usual. I carefully transferred her to her crib. Then I made a little snack for everybody. Sunday afternoons are generally pretty quiet at our house, and I usually get to take a little nap myself. Today was no different. I told Todd I was going to lay down for a bit. That was about 3pm. I woke up to the sound of Brynne calling, "Mama! Mama!" So I went in to get her. I looked down the hall. Still. Silent. I looked in Zerrin's room. Still, silent. I looked in the living room. Quiet. Todd was asleep on the couch and Zerrin's game was still up on the computer screen. Frantically I wake up Todd, "Where's Bubba?" A very groggy Daddy perks up and says, "I don't know!" We looked around the house and couldn't see him. Then Todd looked in Zerrin's room. He was asleep under his big comforter on his bed. I couldn't see him (probably because I don't have the same perspective as Todd, being 12 inches shorter). But he had just put himself down for a nap because he was tired. I couldn't believe it. This kid never takes naps anymore. So I am glad he wasn't missing. He can't get outside without an adults help, so I wasn't too worried. But what a sweet little boy. Then he slept until almost 6:30 pm. Nursery must have really worn him out!
