Brynne Update
This is Brynne. She is 2 1/2. She is a princess (just ask her!) and she is finally a Big Girl!
I know, she's been potty trained for a while now, and that is when I thought she had become a big girl. But I recently experienced the defining moment for her when she really did become
We arrived at Jazzercise Wednesday morning, and she climbed out of my arms, and went straight to playing and talking to the child care provider. She didn't cry at all. This was a miraculous moment for me. The first time we went, she cried for 30 minutes straight. Class is only an hour. (Did I mention that I'm glad they crank the volume up so loud it drowned out the noise of her crying so it was easy to ignore?) The next time she cried for about 10 minutes. And now, just a couple of weeks later she is perfectly fine. She is a big girl. She'll even tell me, "I'm going to be happy. I'm not going to cry." It is so wonderful for me to see her becoming more independent. Now, we have to give these same tactics a try so that I can start attending Relief Society again. I have been in the nursery with her for, well, since before she was of legal age to attend nursery. So now that I have been released, I still can't leave without her screaming and throwing a fit. Unlike Jazzercise, the church doesn't crank up the volume on the piano to drown out the noise from my screaming daughter. So it's hard to ignore. But we're going to go for it this week. I think it might actually work now that she has some practice.
