Zerrin update

This is Zerrin. He is 3 1/2 years old. He is the family clown and the friendliest boy in town. Just today we were leaving a store and a man pulled up beside our van on Zerrin's side while he was buckling himself. He promptly waved to the man and showed him his "treat" he got from the store. "I got tic tacs!" He also calls everybody friend. We have quite a few neighbor kids that play out in the culdesac in the afternoons. They are all a few years older than Zerrin, but he gets so excited to see them. And the kids are all good sports and play with him and entertain him even though he can't do the same things they do. Just last night he was telling me that he loves his friends Ryan and Wesley. Funny because Ryan is 8 or 9 and Wesley is 5 or 6. But Zerrin doesn't care. He sees kids playing, he'll run up to them, "Hi friends!"
He is such a cute and a smart boy. So clever and silly. He is also a talker. I can't get him to stop talking. I forget what life was like before the children were verbal. He will come up with all these crazy scenarios of what will happen if he doesn't do what he is told..."then the police will take me away? The bad guys will come? A kangaroo will get me? I'll smash my finger and then I'll cry. I'll go to time out and I'll be sad...etc..etc.." Instead of just doing what he is told, he'll go off on this diatribe about what the consequence might be if he doesn't. Those wheels are always cranking in that boys head.
Today while I was watching my friend Jen's kids, he and Coleson (also 3) were playing games on the computer. I was downstairs with Brynne and Greyson. I also had a little bit of "medicine head" from my cold, so I was out of it. Anyway, I could hear that they were laughing and having a great time. When I finally mustered up the energy to come up the stairs to check on them they had my digital camera in their hands. That's going to be my next post. They took about 70 pictures and videos of the most random stuff. I wanted to be mad until I looked through the pictures and I couldn't help but laugh. So that is coming up next. But for now, I'm going back to bed. It's almost 3 am. I couldn't sleep. But it's too dark to try and upload pictures onto the computer...especially in my Ambien stupor. I don't want to delete a bunch of photos again. Maybe tomorrow.
