Christmas oh-eight

I know I haven't been the best blogger. I never will be...but this is my catch up post. And maybe I'll make a resolution to be a better blogger...but don't count on it. I'm not making any promises I can't keep. So here's what's been going on the last little while...
Danielle and Sydney finally arrived safely in California on Dec. 18th, after a cancelled flight and a delay on the flight they did take. Then their luggage took a little detour, which slowed us down a bit in our travels, but we made the drive from So Cal to Utah without incident. (thankfully) We arrived on Saturday afternoon just in time to see Todd's dad before he left for Mexico. It had been a while since we saw him, so it was good, even though it was a short visit. We spent our first night with Todd's mom where we had a wonderful dinner with family, and then we celebrated with Alicia's family on Christmas Eve, as is tradition for the Joneses. It was like Christmas twice. On Christmas morning when we told Zerrin and Brynne that Santa had come, Zerrin's response was, "A new Santa?" because he thought Santa had already come...he got so many presents on Christmas Eve. We even had a present waiting for each of the little ones at home, but have decided to save them for their birthdays since they were so spoiled by everybody this year...including Mom and Dad.
Danielle and Sydney got a Wii from their mom so Todd and I got them the "guitar hero" set that goes with Wii. Talk about entertainment. They had a blast playing it!
Ben, Beth Ann, Jill, Zerrin, Taylor and Sydney opening presents on Christmas Eve.

Zerrin loves his new Diego Railway Adventure Set. I think it must be his favorite toy!

Danielle and Sydney rockin' it in their new shades from Santa. As Danielle said, "Santa's got style!"

Brynne givin' some luvin to Uncle Jed. She just climbed up on his lap. She must have thought he was Santa.

Zerrin eating the snow and making a snow angel. He absolutely loved the snow. His face says it all in this one. And isn't he getting tall? My he is growing like a weed. I can barely lift him anymore!

Danielle and Sydney straight out of the salon. They look so grown up with their hair styled by a pro. Sydney looks like Alice from "Twilight" and Danielle invented her own style with "steps" instead of layers. My stylist wasn't going to do it at first, but she wanted Dani to be happy, so she ended up giving her the style she really wanted. Both girls were pleased with their new look.
So we froze our patooties off in Utah's chilly weather and were sweating in the 70 degree heat when we got home to Oceanside. 66 degrees never felt so good.
