So, Happy New Year everybody. Wanna know what my official first act of the new year was? Cleaning up puke. Brynne woke up at 3:30 am telling me that her bed was soaked. I assumed it was urine. wrong. It was vomit. So on what could have been a nice, relaxing, fun day off for our family, we stayed home, restricting Brynne's intake of foods and worrying that she was going to yak all over. So a pretty boring day. At least she is feeling better today. And I was looking forward to getting out of the house and taking the kids to play, but guess what? Now Zerrin's got it. He puked all over his bed (and floor) last night. Only we didn't find it till this morning when Todd went to take Zerrin potty at 5:30 am and stepped in it. Yummy. And not only did he throw up, but he had gum in his hair. Why would I put a child to bed with gum? I didn't! He swallowed it yesterday and threw it up along with his dinner. So, not only do I have to clean up the vomit on his floor, and clean yet another set of sheets... I got to put peanut butter in Z's hair to loosen the not just ABC, but ABC and regurgitated gum out of his hair. He told me as I was putting the PB on his hair, "Peanut butter is for toast, Mommy!"
On that note, I guess I'll get the monkey boy out of his peanut butter bath now and throw some new clean jammies on him and get him a can of coke to settle his tummy.
It's days like this that sure make me grateful for modern conveniences like washing machines and wet/dry vacs. And I sure wish I had a "Sham-Wow" right now.

How true it is, motherhood is not for wimps! I remember going through some of the same things myself. I hope they are all feeling better soon.
