Total Bummer

I was planning on doing this great post about all the fun things the kids have been doing and all the great new stuff I have been doing. But instead, I made a tragic mistake and DELETED all the photos and videos that were awaiting transfer to my computer. I am so bummed. One teeny tiny mistake, one wrong little click and POOF! everything is gone. I'm so sad right now, I can't even tell you.
So here is what you missed seeing:
  • Brynne dressed in her Cinderalla dress at the mall, and sleeping on the kitchen floor.
  • Zerrin driving around in his hand-me-down (pink) motorized Jeep (which doesn't work anymore which makes it an even bigger bummer because we can't replicate the video...just like Zerrin's first steps I also lost...)
  • Zerrin and Brynne making cotton ball snowmen with construction paper and glue (and me all proud because I was being "the good mom" and being all creative with them).
  • Pictures of my latest endeavor to be "The Good Wife/Mom"...making vegetable purees to sneak into our meals so my children get some vitamins and fiber. This also included rather boring pictures of my first time using my new food processor (which I loved...Thanks, Honey!) And pots of carrots, red peppers, sweet potatoes and butternut squash. And bags and bags of the finished product which I will later use in countless recipes, undetected because the recipes are so clever. Thank you, Jessica Seinfeld.
  • Various other pictures that I can't remember and never will because they are forever gone. :(

At least I learned my lesson. I won't make that mistake again. And at least it wasn't even a month's worth of pictures that were lost. I did get the Christmas pictures downloaded. It was only about 2 weeks of pictures, but it has been an eventful 2 weeks. What a bummer. I am still so sad. But I will move on...

Until next time...

that totally bites!! its so sad to lose all that becaue you can never get the hard stuff back, i mean you just have the memories, but you can't share in pictures and stuff. i totally know the feeling, we were able to save some of my kid's pictures, but then i started looking, and think we lost shaylee's 1st b day and bradyns 2nd. and just a few other things.

That's funny (and really sad)--but funny because I do the same thing. When I changed our blog to blakeandjennyquackenbush.blogspot.com I tried to transfer all my old blog posts over, and it wouldn't send the pictures, so I had to manually transfer them over. Well, good luck on the next one. -Blake
