Did I Mention I Love Comments?

Well, I do! I love getting feedback. Even if you have nothing to say, let me know you stopped by. Don't be shy. I want to know who's stopping by and checking in on us. It's nice to know someone is reading what I'm writing. Thanks!

October in Okinawa

I don't know why, but we felt the need for the whole family to dress up this year. Todd, Danielle and Brynne all went as Pirates. Sydney was a ninja and Zerrin went as the black spider man. But what was funny was that every time someone would ask him what he was going to be for Halloween, he would tell them, "I'm going as a black man!"

We also discovered a yummier version of a snow cone. A lot of the snow cones here come with some sort of beans on them. It doesn't look appetizing to me. But these were very tasty. They have a dollop of real ice cream on top plus real fruit topping.

We also adopted a cat named Koko. He is a Sable, but looks Siamese. I was hesitant at first, given my distain for all things feline, but I relented and I have to admit that I actually do like this cat.
As you can see, he also loves his new "sisters". He loves to snuggle and hug on Dani and Sydney.
We have learned that it rains a lot here and have had to buy umbrellas for everyone. Hello Kitty is the big thing here, so we got Brynne a Hello Kitty umbrella. She fits right in with all the Japanese.
Zerrin demonstrating the proper way to use the Japanese potty. We call it the "Squatty Potty" . I am happy that most places have regular toilets so we don't have to deal with this too often.
