Did I Mention I Love Comments?

Well, I do! I love getting feedback. Even if you have nothing to say, let me know you stopped by. Don't be shy. I want to know who's stopping by and checking in on us. It's nice to know someone is reading what I'm writing. Thanks!

Change of Plans

The only constant in the military is change. It's something I've become somewhat used to. So when Todd got called up to deploy at a moment's notice, after the initial shock and grief, I was okay with it. And I knew it was going to happen at some point this year anyway. But when Todd told me last Friday that he would be coming home, I didn't quite believe it until I saw it. I picked him up from the airport on Wednesday night. We surprised the kids Thursday morning when they got up. It probably would have been better to tell them, but we wanted to surprise them.
Right now, we're in that transition phase where we are still getting used to life with Daddy again. The kids' bedtime is all screwed up, they are acting out to see what they can get away with, and I can't take up the whole bed anymore. It will take a bit of time, but life will get back to "normal" again.
Todd had to start checking in again on Friday, and the first thing they said to him was, "Oh, good! We've got another one all ready to go... we'll see where we can send you next." (Or something to that effect... I wasn't there, but the gist of it is, they most likely will deploy him again, possibly this year.)
Anyway, we're still planning on coming home for the summer. Danielle and Sydney will go visit their mom in Maryland. The little kids and I will be in Utah staying with my folks. Todd probably won't be coming with us, he can't take much time off. But at least I won't have to be worried about him being in a war zone, getting shot at, or anything troubling. He'll be able to take care of our cat, Koko, and mow the lawn, and empty the dehumidifier so our clothes don't mold.
That's the update for now. I'm a terrible blogger, I've come to accept it. Any good thought I have is fleeting and immediately forgotten the instant it is thought, unless I write it down that very moment. So I have a lot of things I wanted to tell you, but I just can't remember right now.
I guess I need to do more blog stalking for inspiration.

I am so happy you wrote the story on here. I love reading it. Don't worry I am horrible at blogging as well. We really need to try hard to get together this summer when you are in Utah.

I'm glad to read whatever you write! Don't blog stalk! It only leaves me feeling inadeqate and depressed, two things which I really am not. When I start looking at all the crafting blogspots then I really start to lose it! I hope you will take a trip to our little home in Orem when you are out this summer!
